For the longest time I have really detested my bath room cabinet, and for the longest time I was going to do some thing about it. Finally I did, I have just built a frame that sits over top the original cabinet, this allows me to still use the mirror. I am happy with the out come , |

Those test below were pretty pathetic really, when I have done the transfer method before I have only really did it on to another page of the National Geographic magazine and I would leave it longer.. up to over night, but I guess the photo's below with give you an idea of how these products work. So my curiosity got the better of me... I just did a quite google search for di-lemonene and read about using it with heat... so I tried it... photo is below, but it is definitely quicker, but again results are varied! Have your tried searching on YouTube for image transfer, that is where I pretty much learnt every thing I know.. You might like to also try these two mediums as a transfer method. Gin - Wintergreen oil - Blender Pens. :) Happy transferring I really wanted to bring you an interesting article, how other artists use image transfer today, but that is not going to happen... I must have been searching for the wrong thing... I found nothing well nothing that really jumped up and grabbed me that I felt was good enough to share. Maybe I am being a little judgemental I had my first Image transfer workshop the other evening, and it went well several students were off home to do some more, makes it all worth while really. But as always in review I can see several things that I need to change. So in the next class I will put these into practice. More techniques, quicker methods, and different surfaces. I have a couple of ideas new techniques that I want to try out! So I think it might be time I got into the studio and started experimenting again. In the mean time this is something that I did find that I thought might be handy to all you creative people out there!Free collage sheets.... Even spotted one I might use.. Well it seems I was so wrong change a few words in google and wahla... now I have many many techniques... stay tur
Everyday I read the new posts on facebook I am so so inspired! My friends are all wonderfully creative, it is such a joy reading their posts, blogs and view their work. It really makes me want to run to my studio and start creating! This is what I was greeted with this morning! These stunning hand made books by Book Art Studios (Liz Constable) ... Picnic Hampers My latest endeavour was picnic baskets! Well myself and two other friends that is. But really in the scheme of things I have no idea what planet I was on attempting another project right now. So we have decided to work on it behind the scenes for now. Can't wait to have the time to get them up and running sometime in the near future! All in all heaps going on, I have not had much time in the studio of late, now I can actually see the floor and my work bench is not covered in boxes, it will not be long be for hands on creative itch over rides my digital creative side. So my office is set up! YAY... doesn't matter that still working at the kitchen table ... that move will come soon and I be in my little office photoshoping to my hearts content. Ok so again this year I made all my Christmas gift, Hampers...... I researched home made cleaning products... it has always been a passion of mine.... Good old White vinegar and Baking soda..... So so many uses! I think my favourite (one of actually) is the Hen food(yes I know not a cleaning product), anyway I called it Lady Harriet.. after my friend chicken, just as well they loved it! This was another of my favourites Bath Salts..... oh so simple and economical to boot.
I did get a little creative before I moved and had more of a play with the transfer technique... I LOVE these, I have even got the large menu canvas hanging in my dining room!
Awesome afternoon spent in the studio teaching what I have learned, passing knowledge forth..... We made our wall plaques.... added a shape ( today it was a fluer dis lis, tomorrow who know the possibilities are endless.) Painted it, finished with an antique crackle..... I have been teaching the Antique crackle works for going on 5 years and I still get excited to see the finished product. The other plaque... we made and learnt a transfer technique....
These are two other National Geographic and Citrasolv, the left being a transfer and the right is also a transfer from the gladwrap.
